The Capitol Lofts Development,a partnership between Holliday Development and the Capitol Area Development Authority, is a proposed mixed-use residential rehabilitation of the existing CADA warehouse building, located on R Street just south of the Capitol Building in Sacramento, CA with added new construction elements including a boutique hotel, lofts, podium penthouses, and a parking garage.

In collaboration with SMUD’s (Sacramento Municipal Utility District) Research and Development team and with NREL (National Renewable Energy Lab), Capitol Lofts is driving to be a model for future green development. The design is being analyzed to maximize sustainable and renewable technologies that both reduce energy consumption and generate its own energy in an effort to develop the most energy efficient mixed-use building in the country.
