R Street Corridor Development Goals
The CADA (Capitol Area Development Authority) Warehouse has a history dating back to the Lawrence Warehouse Company and as a warehouse for new Model T Fords.
More recently, CADA saw the warehouse as a prime redevelopment opportunity to enrich the R Street Corridor in their vision of a vibrant mixed use neighborhood with historic character. Capitol Lofts is Holliday Development’s response to the vision and goals of CADA and the City of Sacramento, providing innovative housing, preserving historical character, and providing new jobs and an economic catalyst for the R Street Corridor.
The Capitol Lofts Development is a mixed-use development including the concrete CADA warehouse and the smaller 3 story brick and timber B&G Building. Capitol Lofts also contrasts historical character with new construction, adding a parking structure wrapped with new studios and flats, live-work lofts, and a boutique hotel.
Additionally, the development will include retail/commercial spaces on ground floor, landscaped courtyards, rooftop decks and multiple tenant amenities.
